Bass player Mika Vuoto (The Bluestation, Napoleons) joined in 2001 and brought a truckload of ass kicking attitude with him. The group was now hard enough to be called Boner. Soon after drummer Janne Hynynen (Monsteriser, Pronssinen Pokaali) had joined in, the jam sessions turned into proper rehearsals. With this line up Boner recorded four demos and played several gigs in Finland during the years 2001-2004.
In 2004 Janne resigned after the rest of the band had moved from Lahti to Helsinki. Boner wasn't much of an use until 2005 when a new drummer Ville Salonen joined in. Ville's furious style of drumming gave new power to the engines and raving energy of the band was captured in Motorway Madness -EP (2007), which was recorded entirely at the band's rehearsal room by Petrus Rapo.
In 2008 Boner faced a little crisis when a long time bass player Mika resigned. Band carried on a while as a three-legged dog until the new banger of four strings was found. Manu Eloaho joined in to fulfill the low frequency gap. With new member Boner went to studio and recorded Origin Of Destruction -EP at the early part of 2009.
Now Boner is about to release their debut, "Blood From the Border". Album has been produced by the band itself and the material is more progressive stuff, but still keeping the heavy rock essence of the band.
Boner have started to record new material for their upcoming album!
In 2011 the band unleashed their epic debut album Blood From The Border. Soon after that drummer Ville resigned and the band took a hiatus for several years. Until now!
