The German metal band MessengeR is convincing the scene with their uncompromising German steel, since their debut album "Under the sign" in 2006. The mixture of their style consists of traditional Power Metal with a touch of trueness, without sounding oldfashioned or even uninspired. MessengeR is a group for the 21st century and not for the past! Regardless, whether there are guitar solos at super sonic speed, thundering rhythms or superhumanly high screams: MessengeR surely doesn´t fit in no trend and they make no compromise!
They already proved their skills on many shows and festivals like the HEADBANGER´S OPEN AIR, the KEEP-IT-TRUE-FESTIVAL, ROCK MANIA, SAARBANGERS METAL FESTIVAL and many more. Over the years, they had been supporting many well-known acts like RUNNING WILD and AXXIS among many others.
In 2011, MessengeR have signed with Massacre Records to release their 2nd strike – “See You In Hell” From catchy melodic metal hymns to riff-dominated metal monsters and even emotional songs MESSENGER delivered the full musical potion to the metal fan which will not be forgotten.
At this point, the German power metal quintet were already an established trademark in the German metal scene and in September 2011, They were going on a Europeen tour as supporting act for ex-IRON MAIDEN singer BLAYZE BAYLEY.
On their current album „Starwolf - Pt.I: The MessengeRs“ they move into new horizons - into the infinities of the universe to be precise. In association with the novelist Victor L. Pax, MESSENGER will play the central characters of a science fiction novel which has specially been created for the band with the name: „Sternenwolf - Die Boten“ („Starwolf – The MessengeRs“). The artwork is a contribution from the illustrator Wiebke Scholz, who has established her reputation in the fantasy and games scene.
As for the musical development, the guys from Saarland stepped up their game sticking to their style, though: Thrilling riffs, bombastic choirs, catchy melodies, virtuous guitar play and the variable four-octave-voice of the lead vocalist, which will blow metal heads’ minds!
At the beginning of 2014, the band toured again nearly one month across Europe, this time together with BULLET as opening act for the power metal legends PRIMAL FEAR on their "Eagles & Lions" tour.
In April 2015 the EP "Captain's Loot" was released with some new and older cover songs and three previously rarely available own works.
