When Lemmy Kilmister hand picks you to open for Motörhead, you KNOW there's something special about your band.

That's one of many accolades Australian heavy rockers Taberah have to tell about since their first pub gig in 2006 at the tender age of 16.

Since then, Taberah have shared many stages in many places with the likes of Blind Guardian, Motörhead, Hammerfall, Ace Frehley (ex KISS), Municipal Waste, Paul Di'Anno (ex Iron Maiden), Tim "Ripper" Owens, Blessed By A Broken Heart, Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper) as well as the who's who of Australia's heavy music scene.

Taberah released their debut album in 2011 entitled "The Light Of Which I Dream" which led to a year of extensive touring and earned the band a reputation of being a "must see" live band.

2012 saw Taberah begin a management deal with German based promotion company Rock n Growl - which led to the band's second album 'Necromancer' being released worldwide with Dust On The Tracks records in mid 2013.

'Necromancer' has been dubbed "The perfect classic metal album" as it collects stellar reviews from every corner of the globe - as well as going to #1 in Germany on the Amazon rock/metal genre within 24 hours of it's release. Not bad for a band hailing from the tiny isle of Tasmania.

With their unique style of heavy metal played with the spirit of rock n roll. Taberah are one of Australia's fastest growing names.

The band's sound and live performance is derived from a vast range of influences including the traditional heavy metal stylings of Iron Maiden + Black Sabbath, the rock n roll swagger of AC/DC + Thin Lizzy, mixed with the over the top 'tongue in cheek' theatrics of Queen + The Darkness, yet somehow maintaining the aggressive tendencies of Motörhead + Metallica. All done with a slightly modern and original twist.
