I'll be honest. The quality of the recordings is really varied. I’m a great fan of Tool, but most of these recordings do little honour to their music.

 

 

Some recordings have a very well balanced volume, but sometimes the audio is really clipped. Sometimes the recording is clean, and sometimes you have people yelling through guitar solos. Other times, there is clearly an unbalance in left and right channel. Worst by far is when some instruments fall flat because the recording technology used did not have enough range to properly record all musical elements. Some also have surround echo’s from the stadiums in which they are recorded, which make it sound like the wah pedal is stuck.

 

 

I can only advice this torrent to the most hardcore of all Tool fans. You must go through all of them to find the recordings who are fine, and still it doesn’t even compare well to the official live recordings (Tales of the Darkside & Salival).

 

I think we all wished that Tool released a live DVD, but this is musically speaking a poor replacement.

Comparing bootlegs to wishing for a live dvd and official releases is best cured by downloading official versions. These bootlegs were obtained from a website exclusive to Tool bootlegs. Thanks to original uploaders.
