Problem. I was sitting down and listening to Come To Grief when suddenly the music is replaced by some very loud white noise. Very distressing, and after checking on YouTube, clearly not what the band had in mind. Did I miss something? Because I know I cannot be the only person who has thus been affected.
What track is affected by this distortion? Or maybe can you give me its approximate time in minutes?
I can replace this release by fresh rip if something wrong happened during encoding, but if source disc is damaged then there will be a problem.

Done, album Come to Grief replaced by fresh .flac rip from the same disc. I hope there will be no further issues.
I feel like such a shit for not testing this out earlier, but Come to Grief is unfortunately not the only APE album in this torrent that is affected by the SHNtool problem. It could just be that the SHNtool on my machine is somehow messed up, but I have experienced first hand now that Dismal and Torso are also affected by this issue.
At the risk of being rude, I have never been a fan of the practise of compiling albums into a single file that has to be separated by the end user. I did not discuss it with many people online, but more than half the time I was told I should suck it up because it was a convenience issue, ie why should I have to put in all the work to put in tags, album art, and so forth. At least where the APE format is concerned, I appear to have a good reason. I do not know what I did with the old split files, but having redownloaded three albums, my hopes that the rest are not affected by this problem are not high.
Again, I apologise for not having investigated this part of the problem sooner.
