Sounds like Abbath & co. are singing some death metal ! Cool !!
No, it isn't Immortal, but this vocalist is reminiscent of vocals of Immortal; in fact, the currently playing music is slightly similar also. I'm only into the 2008 album but so far, so good. Really black-metally death metal.
An update later sometime after I've heard much more.

2012 -- is as much black metal as death metal, excepting the guitar leads. Not bad !!
2017 -- similar to 2012. Med-heavy, med-speed, with less guitar leads and a bit of clean vocals. Not bad.
2021 -- hard to separate the BM from the DM.. Good album, 65% BM, 35% DM. Med-pace, med-heavy.
2020 -- More black metally in this album. And good speed; 80% BM here. Good.
Yes, I skipped an album somehow; you'll have to fill in that blank yourself.
So, not blown away by Ofermod, but I can listen to it without complaint.
Overall, 8 / 10. And one newer EP somewhere to check out..
