Bleak Revelation - Discography (2015 - 2020)

I can get used to having this going in the background, maybe even in the foreground.

Afflictive Seclusion (still listening as we speak, and it is getting better each track so far):

More deathy doom than doomy death, though nearly equal measure of both. Say 55% doom.

The lead doom vocals make me think of Glen Danzig for a second; strong, clean, epic yet gloomy, some reverb giving a forlorn echoing effect, and at times in a chanting or repetetive arrangement. The death vocals mostly are not especially strong or heavy, more of an accompaniment, or ambient type like maybe from some atmospheric black metal, background growling etc. The clean vocal takes precedence in getting your attention.

The music itself is well paced but doomy, pretty typical like doom of My Dying Bride etc. (typical is not bad here, it is good) and the playing is not out of this world but is skilled & good, nice sound, not too much crazy distortion.

Nothing is extreme in this album; it's a balanced mix of sounds. Good upload! 7+ of 10 for sure.

As implied above, I feel this album is getting stronger with each track... like the band is evolving during this album.
