Immortal Orchestra - Discography (2013 - 2023)

Excellent dark / blackish doomy American epic metal.

Doomy-gloomy but not exactly "doom" metal in my opinion, though a clear definition of genres is really vague and overlapping, almost always. Anyway, when I played this, the first thing I thought upon hearing the vocalist, was that this music would really sound better in a different language. I believe I shut it off -- not in the mood for that guy, or this music.

But I got over that and tried again; kept listening next time.. And what a treat! I listen again, maybe for the 4th time, as I write this... It's very well done, and that clean vocalist -- a powerful voice, that may take a moment to adjust for, but then, hey, this is sometimes like a darkened Judas Priest mixed with MDB sound in here. Musically, the style varies during the albums, but the albums are each an epic, and the music changes accordingly with the theme & plots. Generally, I find it a mix of darkened heavy metal and epic power metal, with doom & gloom, MDM and other elements mixed in as required, including some lovely piano & violin pieces.

Quite entertaining. Top shelf music !

I think it's safe to say that if you like music, you should give this a try. These folks have skills you may appreciate.
