Quite good, and interesting...
Listening to track #6 and for some reason, Hell Awaits comes to mind.
There's a bit of stylistic mixture in here, it isn't strictly "black metal" -- there's sympho.. backing vocals.. guitar solos, a slight gothic feel to some sections... I'll need to listen a few more times before reaching a conclusion about Varathron, but this album has convinced me to hear their other works meanwhile.. After a bunch more listening to this group, I'll be back!
