Visage from the dreaming sky is lovely...
I have a hard time finding French metal I like, yet I keep trying. Mostly, I love it or detest it, usually the latter.
Here's some nice French black metal, though I do not like everything on this album. There are a few nice clean / acoustic sections in here -- and they seem to fit in -- unlike with some other French music where acoustic sections didn't belong, and ruined everything. Besides that, this is fairly standard black metal; in my opinion, it gets better as the album plays. Guitar is a bit nauseous, not crazy, vocals are of the hoarse / raspy variety. We can skip the Interlude track, just completely delete that one ---> off to the nylon recycler. Track #10 on the contrary, is beautiful melodic black metal with a splash of acoustic, and it's an excellent track that takes us into the potent & lovely half-acoustic finale, a miniature epic adventure.
While I don't love the album, I would listen to it again and enjoy the enjoyable parts, i.e. perhaps 75% of it. For me, that's a lot of a French album to like.
